What makes our Mother Plants so very good and how can you use them?
We cultivate most of the Mother Plants for a period of at least 8 months in our glasshouses. During this period a lot of things happen. They need quit different circumstances when they are a baby than during their quick development during the pre-pubertal period or in the period that they are preparing blossoming while growing up!
That makes it a difficult job to cultivate a good Mother Plant.
When you see our Mother Plants with their beautiful adult leaves and their perfect colors and roots, than you know that we are the right address to buy your Mother Plants!
How to use the plants in your aquarium?
There is no real need to remove the pot and the rock wool from the plant.
Moreover, when you do not have any gravel in the aquarium (for example in the breeding place) or when you have some African Cichlids that are always digging into the gravel, than leaving them in the pot is a very good solution. It will protect the roots and will enable them to develop without being eaten.
Of course, if you want to, you can also remove the pot and the rock wool. Using running water and a little knife will be the best way to do this.
We have a bright choice in Mother Plants. Anubias and Microsorum are strong and low demanding species. You can use them for all types of aquaria like aquaria with Cichlids or aquaria with just a little light. They grow slowly and therefore they are easy to maintain. They become thicker and more beautiful every week.
For Echinodorus MP however, you should have an aquarium with sufficient light. When you have an open aquarium some species could grow till above the water surface which will have a magnificent effect!
With Mother Plants you can create your own wilderness within no time!
Mother Plants have been in the nursery for a long time and therefore they contain a lot of nutricions and other substances. Especially when you have very sensitive animals in your aquarium (like some kinds of shrimps) we advise you always to rinse the plants thoroughly and to remove the rock wool. It is ideal to put the plant, once it is clean, into a tank with clean water for 12 hours.
